GROWING A GREATER CULTURE OF INCLUSION

How do organizations that have historically been rooted in and committed to community grow and advance greater inclusion?

Achieving a threshold of diversity within an organization does not automatically address the need for inclusion or other much needed critical shifts. When a commitment to inclusion is sustained over the long term and put into daily practice, honest conversations, healthy tension and mutual benefit practices emerge.

This interactive workshop will explore what inclusion is and its evolving best practices. You will learn how to ensure that your work reflects and aligns with inclusion's guiding principles through leadership, programming, fundraising and community engagement efforts.

THE 3-LEGGED STOOL: A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO PROGRAMMING

Leigh Ann Hahn embraces the belief that every part of an organization (fund development, marketing/communications, program, and administration) must be respected and balanced in order to serve our communities and ourselves.

“You are always welcome,” “if you don’t ask you don’t get,” and “observe perpetually” (Henry James) are three of the oft-repeated phrases that inform and tie together Hahn’s programmatic ethos.

In this session, we’ll explore tools and methodologies for fully integrating programming objectives to achieve your organization’s mission.
